Answer 1: Does guest sessions work with all paging systems?

No. The guest sessions solution will only work with LRS guest pagers like CS6 or CS7. The good news is that those solutions are some of the most advanced solutions available and some models even include full acknowledgement mode that the pager received the message. Of course guest sessions works with LRS older customer pagers too.

Answer 2: If I don't have an internet connection can I still get reports?

Yes you can. If you are using the guest sessions application on an Apple iPad then there is some local reporting that can be viewed from the menu system. But to get the best out of guest sessions you really need internet connectivity and then you will be able to use LRSConnect* which is developed for reporting of many LRS solutions. You can also download the data for analysis in your own applications. An important feature!

Answer 3: The screen looks small? Is there a limit on the number of pagers this system supports?

There is not really any limitation to the number of guests and pagers you can enter on screen because the pages can scroll across to extra pages. However, in reality it might be hard to manage many pages of wait lists.

Answer 4: Can guest sessions be used with multi screens?

Yes, guest sessions can be used with up to three separate iPad screens at once. This allows users to be able to manage larger wait lists.

Answer 5: Can I change the colours of the timing rings?

Unfortunately not. The guest sessions colours are blue for when you enter a customer on screen, green when the pager is active and timing, yellow when wait time reaches 80% and red when the target wait time has been reached.

Answer 6: Do you have to use Apple iPad's?

If you want to use a screen mode as shown on this website, you will need an Apple iPad. However, we are developing other solutions currently that support guest sessions which will be available in the future so you may not need the iPad at all if you don't want to use it. At this time though at least one iPad is essential... question answered.

Answer 7: Can I set the target timings easily?

The target times can be set up very easily in the application. Its a simple matter to set up this software and nothing could be easier.

Answer 8: Does guest sessions come with the guest pagers?

No. Guest sessions is an application that is separate from the paging system. However, if you already have an LRS paging system then you can easily integrate your system (it may require an upgrade of the transmitter - where we part exchange your old unit) in to the guest sessions solution. Old guest systems might need other upgrades to make them work, but in general if you have a system already we can make it work with guest sessions but it MUST be an LRS system.

Answer 9: Does anything in guest sessions affect the paging system itself?

No. Guest sessions is a solution designed to work with guest paging and does not affect the operation of the pager system except to enhance the overall operational methodology and to offer features that the paging system alone could never deliver. Sometimes we might have to offer certain upgrades, but those will only improve your current system and maybe even increase the range for example in many cases.
